Warranty & Returns

At Meggo, we want you to shop with confidence. This policy works alongside your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986. It outlines how we handle warranties, returns and refunds so you know exactly what to expect.

Returns

Changed your mind? No problem — we accept returns within 14 days of receiving your order, as long as the item is unused, unassembled, in original packaging and in re-saleable condition with everything included.

Return shipping is at the customer’s cost, and original shipping fees aren’t refundable.

Change-of-mind returns aren’t available on clearance, special-order or as-is products.

If something arrives damaged or faulty, please let us know within 3 working days of delivery with photos and your order details so we can get things sorted.

Warranty

We stand behind the products we sell and we’ll always do our best to resolve issues quickly and fairly.

Most of our products come with a 12 Month Limited RTB warranty for normal residential use, unless otherwise specified. For products under $50, the warranty period is 6 months.

RTB (Return to Base) means customers cover the cost of returning goods to us for warranty claims.

Depending on the situation, we may repair, replace, provide parts, offer store credit or arrange a refund where appropriate.

Warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is not transferable.

Warranty Limitations

Our warranty doesn’t cover normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage after use, misuse, incorrect assembly, neglect, or unauthorised repairs.

Battery modules and battery components are covered for 6 months.

For commercial, rental or trade use, warranty is limited to 6 months unless agreed otherwise in writing.

Proof of Purchase

For any warranty or return claim, we’ll need proof of purchase. This can be your order confirmation, receipt, invoice or payment confirmation.

Refunds

Where a refund is approved, we’ll process it back to your original payment method where possible. Shipping fees aren’t refundable unless required under the Consumer Guarantees Act.

In some situations, we may offer repair, replacement or store credit as the most practical solution.

Consumer Guarantees Act

Under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA), you have legal rights for goods purchased in New Zealand.

If a product fails to meet the guarantees set out in the Act, we will meet our obligations to provide a remedy. These guarantees are in addition to any warranty we offer.

The CGA does not apply where goods have been used in a manner or to an extent that is inconsistent with reasonable use.

Where goods are purchased for business purposes, you agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply to that supply, as permitted under New Zealand law.
